Comic strip of the day !!

One of my Favorite cartoons of all Time Is Underworld by KAZ. He has this really cool website I love to check out all the time. I love reading comics and watching cartoons when I'm under the influence, and this is one of the coolest. I admire his dark sense of humor. Kaz's artistic style reminds me of older more traditional comic strips like Popeye and cartoons like mighty mouse. I think everybody should head to his sight and be prepared to laugh your arse off and maybe buy some of his kick-ass original art,he also has some free downloads and such.

Project Super Powers hits the Bullseye.

Meet the Golden Age Super heroes like the Black Terror and the Green Lama, in Dynamite comics Project Superpower by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger. These comics give new life to these long forgotten , golden age , public domain characters. The first thing you will notice is the stunning art work by Alex Ross. Jim Kruegers story about a haunted Fighting Patriot character, and the pace of the story is intriguing . Fans of Marvel comics, The Twelve should check this out as well as fans of Kingdom come , Look for the Michael Turner variant covers on ebay, and check out the other blog I write for Vipers of Eden.

The RED FOX REPORT ! CHINA !

The death toll in China has been estimated at over 100 people, butChina reports only 19 dead. It is obvious the Chinese are going to try to push this under the rug to try to protect their investment in the Olympic Games. The European Union is now deciding if they should boycott the Olympics. Maybe the U.S. should do the same due to what Europe is calling cultural genocide. In light of all that is going on in this world who really cares about the Olympics. I don't blame any U.S. athletes that would want to boycott the games as individuals , but I also support their right to compete for Olympic Glory. I applaud the people that disrupted the torch lighting ceremony. Let us not forget these Tibetans that gave their own lives for freedom. Free Tibet Free Tibet Free Tibet.
Remember Tibet and their struggles for Independence come this summer Olympics.

Comic Book Review The End League by Rick Remender

Welcome to the Post apocalyptic Future where Mad Max meets supermen in Rick Remender and Matt Broome's New Series from Dark horse Comics. The last super heroes in a post apocalyptic future ban together to form The End League. I love Remender's work for dark horse comics with Fear Agent. I feel this is a project he has been wanting to do for a long while and a perfect opportunity to work with artist Matt Broome. Here we See renditions of famous super heroes like superman, captain , America, luke skywalker, and Thor try to survive as they head out on a quest L.O.T.R. style for the only artifact that can save humanity. Three thumbs up for this Title from Dark horse comics.

The Amazing screw on head by Mike Mignola

Check out pilot episode for the Amazing screw on head here. Then go out and buy it on dvd. I read the comic book one shot published by Dark horse comics and loved it. Set in 19th century America , with Abe Lincoln as one of the major characters , this is a classic moment in animation that shouldn't be missed. Cool art and animation for any fan of steam punk.

Steam Punk Report
I've been reading Boing! Boing! lately ,and it has made me very curious about the steam punk sub genre of sci-fi, I can,t say I know much about it. I'm going to spend part of my time learning about it, and posting my findings on Pop culture battleground. I think I'm going to start by getting the animated film steamboy and reviewing it. I liked Akira and it's one of my favorite animated films. My basic understanding of Staem-punk is it takes the same attitudes of cyber-punk and sets them in a turn of the century setting. I've seen Mike Mignolia's the Amazing Screw on Head and will be reviewing that one soon enough. -Jesse
Snake Eyes, What's up my Ninja?
Finally Images of the new G.I. Joe movie are being released, what a cool time to be a comic book fan. I find it very appropriate they released images of Ray park as Snake Eyes, the mysterious and dangerous ninja out to kick some serious cobra butt. I'm a fan of the newer comics series and feel there is a lot of depth to these characters. I hope these guys do a good job with this movie because I will be the first in line to see it. I think his costume is off the hook and the sword with the two glocks I mean forget about it.
